During extreme weather conditions Facebook and Twitter will be flooded by flood related memes which call center employees can relate to. See what we have collected so far below from the #immortal
1. This All of Me message to the supervisor.
2. This Frozen related message to the supervisor.
3. This thumbs up sign while submerged in flood.
4. This meme informing the manager that he's on the way.
5. The Impossible reference.
7. This guy trying to call his supervisor or workforce so as not to be tagged as NoCallNoShow (NCNS).

ReplyDeleteBitter much?
DeleteLet him be, I was like him when I failed to get in after applying for a TSR role in Link2support 9 years ago. The interview session was doing well until the HR asked what do you expect of this job? I said that the role would be easy and you would just sit down and talk to people after saying that the HR smiled and said she will call me back, rookie errors I guess.
DeleteCall center agents usually get free food and hotel accommodation during typhoon.
Have u experienced working in a bpo industry para sabihin nio yan? Wow ah. We need to do the OT substitute para sa mga di nakakapasok during typhoon and no hotel accomodatio, snooze box/sleepingquarters/trainingroom lang ang katapat namin pag ganun. The hell with u guys
ReplyDeleteActually, some of the not so known centers do give hotel accommodations to their employees, and not just the managers or higher ups. It's just that most of the "big" and well known BPO companies wring out their employees worth so much you can hang them to dry for 10 minutes. Sabi nga nila, sulit na sulit yung bayad nila sayo. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this.
DeletePangit naman ng office nyo, ano sabi mo? "we need to do the OT substitute para sa mga di nakakapasok during typhoon and no hotel accomodatio, snooze box/sleepingquarters/trainingroom lang ang katapat namin pag ganun. The hell with u guys", yan lang ang kaya ng office nyo yun ang sabihin mo.. unlike us, we dont need to render OT para lang may hotel or free breakfast kmi. sa company namin hanggat may bagyo at ulan at baha, libre ang hotel at pagkain.. nkakahiya ka..
Delete@ Anonymous 2:16 AM. Yes 6:02 and 10:59 are correct there are some centers that offer hotel accommodations. You may want to check the list that we have.

Link2support days... :)
ReplyDeleteIf the newbies are called call center virgins (first time to the industry) would we be considered as call center whores (5 years and above)?
DeleteTama na ang pagiging Immortal! Unahin muna natin sarili natin, kasi pag may nangyari sa atin, mas lalo na sila walang empleyado pagtapos ng bagyo.
